Speciality: Microelectronic systems, power electronics, Renewable Energy Sources

Short CV: Eftichios Koutroulis was born in Chania, Greece, in 1973. He received his Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, in 1996, 1999 and 2002, respectively. From September 2002 he has served at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Technical University of Crete. He also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University (Aalborg, Denmark). Since January 2012, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Technical University of Crete. His research interests include the design of power converters and microelectronic energy management systems for Renewable Energy Sources applications and the design optimization of Photovoltaic power plants. Since April 2011, he serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the Renewable Energy journal.
